ARCOLA, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Five people were hurt, two seriously, in a wreck in western Allen County.

Police say 28 year old Crystal Chaney of Columbia City ran a stop sign at Butt and Washington Center Roads in Arcola around 5 P.M. Sunday.

Her car was then struck by an SUV. The crash caused Chaney's car to then strike a house. A teenager was inside at the time, but he was not hit.

Chaney and her two passengers were trapped in their car after the crash. Indiana State Police trooper Jen Holt says emergency crews had to cut open the car to free the passengers. "They had to cut the doors off, cut the roof off to get them out."

Chaney and one passenger had serious injuries. The third person in the car had complaints of pain. The two people in the SUV were also treated for pains.

Police cited Chaney for disregarding the stop sign, driving on a suspended driver’s license, and false and/or fictitious registration.
