What Would A Casino Cost Fort Wayne?

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - That question was examined today at a free lecture at the downtown Allen County Public Library.

Doctor Earl Grinols, Economics Professor at Baylor University, spoke on weighing the costs and benefits of legalized gambling in cities.

While researching his work entitled "Casinos, Crimes, and Community Costs" Grinol estimated that for every "positive" dollar brought into a community by a casino. There are at least 3 "negative" dollars in gambling-related crime in the area.
