FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - One of the places that has its guard up against the threat of swine flu is Fort Wayne International Airport.

Administrators have ordered janitorial staff to ramp up scouring and cleaning in public bathroom facilities and other parts of the airport with a heightened risk of germs spreading.

Staff on board flights are also keeping a close eye on passengers who are exhibiting flu like symptoms.

Airport Executive Director Tory Richardson says, "Find out, is this a potential, you know, swine flu victim, or is this just a, you know, somebody that's suffering from a cold or whatever. So, there are people that are trying to look out for that, and again, it's in hopes of the fact that we can stop something before it would spread."

Richardson says Fort Wayne's main airport processes about 60 international passengers a day many of them going to and from Mexico.
