HUNTINGBURG, Ind. (AP) - Authorities evacuated about 50 homes in
the southern Indiana community of Huntingburg as they removed
explosives found in a storage locker.
Residents were asked to leave their homes for about two hours
Sunday afternoon as authorities removed the explosives from the storage locker rented by 49-year-old Kenneth W. Bryant.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Chad Dick said they removed "high
explosive materials" from the locker. They also found drugs and several pieces of stolen property.
The items were found as Dubois County Sheriff's deputies were
executing a search warrant.
Bryant is being held at the Dubois County Jail on drug charges.
Authorities did not have any information on an attorney for him.
