FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Workers at the Fort Wayne Foundry plants in Fort Wayne and Columbia City won't be going to work today, and they are off until further notice.

Union leaders at the plant confirm the work stoppage, saying it's tied to the restructuring at General Motors. The automaker is widely believed now to file for bankruptcy sometime after Monday's government-mandated deadline to restructure.

Fort Wayne Foundry, an auto parts supplier, has already been planning to lay off workers. That could happen next month.
