June 18, 2010 Updated Jun 4, 2009 at 2:51 PM EST FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry says more Hispanic and immigrant communities voices in the Summit City will be heard. Mayor Henry appointed Palermo Galindo as his new Mayor's Advocate. He will be the voice for the Hispanic, Latino and immigrant communities in Fort Wayne. Galindo believes he will be able to strengthen outreach to the community by building a bridge between the minority groups and the city of Fort Wayne. "I will communicate information about the city services to people that have been hesitant in the prior times, and be able to access services that the city provides," Galindo said. Galindo can be reached at 427-6214.
