Former Funeral Home Remains Identified

June 18, 2010 Updated Jun 6, 2009 at 7:50 AM EST GARY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Remains of all four bodies found in a vacant funeral home have been identified, according the Lake County coroner's office.

The coroner's office said yesterday that the bodies are being handled by a licensed funeral director. No other information was released.

One of the four bodies was identified on Wednesday as a 70-year-old Gary man. A forensic anthropologist from the University of Indianapolis performed that examination. Coroner David Pastrick said then that the other three bodies were female.

Authorities believe all four bodies have been at the Gary funeral home known as Serenity Gardens since 2006. Since discovering the bodies, authorities have also found the cremated remains of seven additional people there.
