FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - What will happen to Taylor University's Fort Wayne campus?
Neighborhood associations and residents are interested the vacant lot and curious how it may effect their property values.
Officials from the university will hold a neighborhood forum entitled "Project Rudisill" to seek public input for the best use of the buildings and grounds.
Some neighbors are ready to share their opinions.
Jonathon Taylor with the Foster Park Neighborhood Assoc. says, “Well I think that another university would be ideal, but i think any institution or organization is going to preserve the high caliber and quality of the buildings and the grounds, as well as the type of use that its had. It’s been beneficial and really hasn't been a disturbance, it’s actually been an asset to our community so we hope it will be an asset in the future.”
The forum will be held on June 29th at 6:30 p.m. at the Eicher Student Center on Taylor Fort Wayne's campus.
