Fort Wayne Mayor Talks Casino With State Lawmakers

(Indiana's NewsCenter) - Mayor Tom Henry is in the Circle City for a multi-day conference for Hoosier mayors, but Henry has something else on his agenda as well. In an interview with Indiana's NewsCenter, Henry confirms he is speaking with lawmakers on the issue of a gaming referendum in Fort Wayne. While Republican Senator David Long says only the budget will be discussed during the special budget session, that isn't stopping Henry, or the two lobbying firms he has hired to push theiissue in the Statehouse. Henry supports a referendum on gaming in the Summit City, but says he needs the support of legislators before the matter could be put on the ballot.
