Police Say 11-Year-Old Discovers Marijuana Crop While Searching For Dog

By Scott Sarvay

ORLAND, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Steuben County police want to know who grew lots of marijuana outside.

An 11-year-old boy was searching for his dog in the Orland area Sunday when he found more than 40-pot plants growing in 5-gallon buckets.

The boy's family called police.

Officers say someone was apparently taking good care of the plants.

But authorities don't have any suspects in the case yet.

Police plan to destroy the marijuana plants.
