Frustrated By Fireworks

By Scott Sarvay

June 18, 2010 Updated Jul 2, 2009 at 4:59 PM EST LEO, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Travel may be down this holiday, but the constant pops and cracks from fireworks are driving up the frustrations of a homeowner near Leo, who is longing for some peace and quiet. Tony Restivo says he's riled about one neighbor in particular, who he has confronted about shooting off booming fireworks until late at night since the last part of June. Restivo says, "It makes me very angry, you know, I don't think anybody has the right to scare you like that, or fire rockets across your yard, or have your yard littered with the trash and debris that comes with all these fireworks." Folks living in unincorporated parts of Allen County generally can explode legal fireworks 365 days a year. Friday, Jeff Neumeyer talks with a local psychologist about people bothered most by the bombs bursting in air around the Fourth of July holiday.
