Funeral Set For PGA Player's Wife Killed In Crash

June 18, 2010 Updated Jul 9, 2009 at 1:27 PM EST PERU, Ind. (AP) - A funeral for the wife of PGA Tour golfer Chris Smith will be held Tuesday in the northern Indiana city of Peru. Beth Smith was killed June 21 at age 42 when the sport utility vehicle she was a passenger in struck a Greyhound bus on Interstate 69 near Angola. Chris Smith issued a statement Thursday thanking people for their condolences. The couple's two children, 16-year-old Abigail and 12-year-old Cameron, were seriously injured in the crash. Chris Smith says they are out of the hospital and at home resting. A visitation will be held Monday at the Eikenberry Eddy Funeral Home in Peru. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Main Street United Methodist Church. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
