MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (AP) - Two convicted killers and a third man
have escaped the maximum-security Indiana State Prison in Michigan
City, and authorities say all three men should be considered
dangerous.
Prison officials say the men were found missing about 10 a.m.
CDT Sunday. Officers from the Indiana State Police and other law
enforcement agencies have concentrated their search in
neighborhoods surrounding the prison.
Indiana Department of Correction spokesmen say it appears the
three escaped by somehow getting past bars in the tunnels and pipe
chases under the grounds of the prison about 30 miles west of South
Bend.
