Indiana To Get $7.2 Million To Combat H1N1

June 18, 2010 Updated Jul 13, 2009 at 11:40 AM EST INDIANA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Indiana is about to get more than 7 million dollars to fight the H1N1 flu virus. The state is eligible for about $5.4 million in public health emergency response grants, and more than $1.8 million in hospital preparedness grants. The money will let state health departments implement strategies to reduce exposure to the flu and improve monitoring of the virus. Hospitals would also be given funds to prepare for H1N1outbreaks.
