FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Employees are returning to work at the General Motors Assembly Plant in Fort Wayne, just as the automaker comes out of bankruptcy protection.
Third shift maintenance employees reported to work Sunday night, following a 10-week shut down at the plant.
More workers will return to the job today and the rest of the week on a staggered schedule.
Employees can call 1-866-503-7755 to find out when they're scheduled to return to work.
GM emerged from bankruptcy Friday.
The federal government now owns 61-percent of the company.
