MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - One of three inmates who escaped from an Indiana state prison has been caught in a nearby southwestern Michigan town.

Police think the second of two convicted murderers has been spotted nearby.

The search is on for 46-year-old Mark Booher, who was seen with fellow escapee Charles Smith before Smith was captured early Monday morning.

Police warned people in the area about eight miles from the prison to stay inside and lock their doors.

Smith was captured by a private security guard for Chicago Mayor Richard Daley near the mayor's vacation house in Grand Beach, Michigan.

The search continues for 46-year-old Mark Booher, also a convicted murderer, who was seen with Smith.

A convicted rapist remains at large.

The three escaped Sunday by getting past bars in the tunnels under the grounds of the prison.
