ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Thousands of Aqua Indiana customers in Aboite Township will soon notice something different when they turn on their taps.
Crews with the water utility began installing water softening tanks and filters Friday.
The $3.5 million project is designed to improve Aqua Indiana's water quality.
Utility leaders say the softer water should make soap lather more easily, improving the efficiency of major appliances in your home.
But you'll need to make sure your home water softener is "disconnected" once Aqua's new system comes on-line by the end of the year.
