WASHINGTON (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Legislation passed Thursday in the U.S. House should make millions of older Americans happy.

By a 406 to 18 vote lawmakers passed a bill that would eliminate monthly premium increases for millions of Medicare patients next year.

Several lawmakers said older Americans should not have to pay higher Medicare Part "B" premiums because they are not expected to get a cost of living increase from social security.

The bill now moves to the Senate.
