HICKSVILLE, Ohio (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A morning business fire in Hicksville destroys a storage facility.

It was around ten Monday morning when firefighters were called to a building fire on Casebeer Miller Road near Hicksville.

The building used to be the site of a trucking company but now serves as a storage facility.

Not only did the firefighters have to battle the flames but also the strong winds which fueled the fire.

Chief Doug Miller with the Hicksville Fire Department says, “The winds, 20 to 25 mile per hour today, plus higher gust, and it wasn't much we can do, we have several departments here, providing manpower, it was just a matter of doing what we could do with what we had.”

A total of six departments were called to battle the blaze, which caused an estimated $155,000 in damage.

One firefighter was injured when he came in contact with a down power line.

The cause is under investigation.
