FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - More than 1,000 white-collar jobs are on the line if Navistar moves its Fort Wayne operations to suburban Chicago.
The company is considering consolidating its operations in Lisle, Illinois, just outside the windy city.
The move would encorporate a total of 3,500 employees from Fort Wayne and various Chicago-land locations.
Lisle reportedly has a vacant 88-acre site with more than a-million square feet of office space. In which Navistar could invest $100 million.
But the company and the city both want concessions, so a decision could still be months away.
