FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Monday morning, employees at STAR 88.3 officially took the reins of the radio station.
The station had been owned by Lutheran Church Missouri Synod for 23 years.
Now that employees own STAR 88.3, the station will keep its contemporary Christian music format.
Huntington University helped the radio station by giving it a loan to make sure the new ownership was possible.
STAR 88.3 was recently voted "Station of the Year" by Gospel Music Association and Christian Music Broadcasters.
