FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A Fort Wayne packaging company with a long history in the Summit City will close its doors in 2010.

Employees of Graphic Packaging tell Indiana's NewsCenter that the plant will close in July of 2010, with layoffs beginning in January.

"You just have to take it one day at a time," said one worker who wished not to be identified.

About 116 employees work at the plant over three shifts. Most were notified on Tuesday.

Graphic Packaging produces cardboard cartons for various commercial clients.

An official statement from the company is expected on Wednesday. Stay tuned to Indiana's NewsCenter for further updates.
