Food Pantries Gear Up For Thanksgiving

By Jason Meyers

June 18, 2010 Updated Nov 5, 2009 at 3:05 PM EST FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Thanksgiving is just three weeks away, and food pantries across Allen County are getting ready for the busy holiday season. Pastor Roger Reece of the Associated Churches Food Pantry believes demand this year is near 15% greater than last year. He also mentions that our community is very good at stepping up to meeting those demands. The pantry is always looking for food and monetary donations, and they're in need of volunteers to help pack and distribute food. If you'd like to help, contact the Associated Churches Food Bank.
