Conner Prairie Giving Visitors Firsthand Lessons On Indiana Underground Railroad

(Indiana's NewsCenter) - Conner Prairie is offering visitors the opportunity to learn and experience life on the Underground Railroad firsthand. Visitors to the interactive history park can take the role of a fugitive slave running for freedom in Indiana. The event "Follow the North Star" will run from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday Nov. 5-7, Nov. 12-14 and Nov. 19-21. Participants walk a mile at night, regardless of weather, and meet costumed actors, who treat participants as slaves.
