FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - An autopsy is scheduled Saturday for the body of a 20-year-old man who lost his life after a shooting in the city's southwest side.
Fort Wayne police were called to 2600 Carver Court at 4:45 a.m. in reference to an alleged shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim in critical condition due to an alleged gunshot wound. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he died a short time later.
Multiple witnesses were present at the residence at the time of the shooting, according to police. Witnesses were immediately transported to police headquarters for interrogation. Police are trying to determine whether the individuals were playing some sort of game prior to the shooting.
The Fort Wayne Police Department and Allen County Prosecutor's office today continue to investigate.
Identification of the victim is pending.
