By Scott Sarvay

June 18, 2010 Updated Nov 11, 2009 at 5:59 PM EST FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - It's one of the first signs of winter and it's unfolding right now. Workers are setting up the ice skating rink at Headwaters Park. There are some improvements this year, like a bigger refrigeration unit to keep the ice frozen longer. Opening day is Saturday November 21st and it will feature two shows for the public. Geoff Paddock with the Headwaters Park Alliance says, “The show at 2 o'clock will be about thirty minutes, will be performed by local skaters who are part of the Fort Wayne Ice Skating Club. And then about 2:30 the rink will open to the public to about 6:30, so they can rehearse again and have an encore presentation at 7 o'clock.” The shows are free to the public. The rink will be open seven days a week except Christmas day until February 25th.
