June 18, 2010 Updated Nov 18, 2009 at 6:15 PM EST WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) – A Whitley County woman is missing Wednesday night, one man is in police custody and a massive search is underway. The details are vague at this point but here's what we know. Earlier Wednesday a friend of Debra Houser walked into the Whitley County Sheriff's Department to report her missing addressing some concerns that apparently were enough to lead sheriff officials to begin searching for Houser. Indiana State Police, Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, Columbia City Police and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources officers were all on hand to help in the investigation. Search warrants were issued in the afternoon and police looked through the house where the woman and her ex-husband lived. Whitley County Sheriff Mark Hodges says, “I don't know how much information from each side is actually credible. All we know is the lady is not at home and can't be accounted for. Don't know.” The investigation will continue and Indiana's NewsCenter will bring you the latest coverage as information becomes available.
