PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - Authorities have positively identified a Mitchell teenager as the victim in a slaying this month that involved a body found in the trunk of a burned car.

Attorney General Marty Jackley says DNA testing at the South Dakota Forensic Laboratory led to the identification of 16-year-old Jasmine Guevara.

Her remains were found Nov. 10. Charged in her death are two people who recently came to Mitchell from Fort Wayne, Indiana 20-year-old Alexander Salgado and a 15-year-old girl.

Court documents say the motive for the killing is believed to be the girl's jealousy over a developing relationship between Salgado and Guevara.
