FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Some area teenagers are giving-back in a unique way.
All 19 girls on Homestead High School's Varsity Dance Team practiced for the final time, Friday night, with their long hair.
Saturday, the girls are cutting their manes and donating them to the "Locks of Love Program."
A senior member of the team, who is a cancer survivor, inspired the others.
Cancer Survivor & Dance Team Member Clarissa Root says, “We just want to help out not only people in the community, just everywhere, and be able to help as many girls as we can to get through whatever they're going through.”
We'll show you the new "dos" Saturday on Indiana’s NewsCenter.
