FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Santa and his reindeer shine brightly above Main Street just as they have for 30 years.

Thousands of eager onlookers gathered on the side of the National City Bank building Wednesday evening to witness the traditional lighting of a giant fixture of Santa and his reindeer.

"I love Christmas!,"exclaimed little Carson Dippel who seemed to be in awe of the massive display. "Santa is the only one who can bring us presents every year!"

The display contains 214,000 LED light bulbs, which replaced traditional incandescent bulbs in 2008. The lights shine brighter, but use much less power than normal bulbs.

The big Santa display was not the only highlight of the evening. The giant Indiana-Michigan Power Christmas wreath is also shining brightly at One Summit Square, as are displays at Wells Fargo and Aunt Millie's Bakery.
