LAFONTAINE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A Huntington boy is improving after being shot in a hunting accident this weekend.
Police say the 8-year-old is hospitalized in serious condition, now.
He and his father, Glen Weaver, were sitting in a tree stand in a wooded area near LaFontaine early Saturday morning, when the boy accidentally kicked a shotgun and it went off, hitting the boy in the chest.
The father was not hurt.
Charges will not be filed.
