GARY, Ind. (AP) - Police have found the body of a 12-year-old Gary boy near the home of his family.
The Lake County coroner's office said Michael Maxey Jr. was pronounced dead at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday outside the Colfax Mobile
Home Park, where his family lived.
His family had reported him missing on Monday. Gary police said officers searched the area in the dark after a neighbor reported having seen him in a nearby field.
A spokeswoman said the coroner's office conduct an autopsy before issuing a cause of death.
