INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The issue of gay marriage was debated in the State Senate Thursday.
The Senate approved a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage by a 38-10 vote.
But House leaders indicate it's unlikely to advance in their chamber.
A marriage amendment hasn't gotten a hearing in the House since 2007, when it died in the Rules Committee on a tie vote.
