IPFW Art To Help Healing In Fort Wayne VA Hospital

June 18, 2010 Updated Feb 9, 2010 at 12:47 PM EST FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A unique partnership between IPFW and the VA Hospital is designed to ease a veteran's recovery. More than 150-pieces of art from IPFW students and faculty will be on display at VA Hospitals in Fort Wayne and Marion. One of the students is a photography major who lost a husband in Afghanistan. Congressman Mark Souder was at Tuesday’s announcement. We asked him about Dan Coats' possible entry into the U.S. Senate race and why some Republicans aren't fully behind the move. Souder says, “"I understand there's a lot of divisions between kind of the more populist and the more establishment. The only way we get the seat is for the two wings of the Republican Party to come together. It's gonna be difficult." While Souder says he would support whichever Republican candidate emerges in May, he feels Coats has the best chance to unseat Senator Bayh.
