FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A cold case homicide investigation may get a boost from a bigger cash reward.

57-year-old Timothy Zimmerman had his throat slashed in April 2007 inside a home on Greenlawn Avenue.

Now, the man's brother has come forward, offering a $10,000 reward to try and spur new tips.

Greg Lewis with the Fort Wayne CrimeStoppers unit says there's a good chance the killer told a close friend what happened.

Lewis says, “The guy keeps his mouth shut, and all of a sudden, there's $10,000 out there, and I think my loyalty isn't quite that great. I'm going to tell the police what happened, and go from there, cause you need a witness."

You can contact CrimeStoppers at 436-STOP with information on this or any other local crime.
