(Fort Wayne) - Two public meetings will be held tonight on a couple of hot button issues in Fort Wayne: Harrison Square and Full-Day Kindergarten.

First, two of the primary investors in Harrison Square, (Ft. Wayne Wizards Owners) Hardball Capital and Barry Real Estate, are hosting a public open house to give you another chance to talk to them about the $120 Million project. They're looking for your input and opinions, and in turn you'll be able to look at the latest designs for Harrison Square, which will include a new baseball stadium, a Courtyard by Marriott hotel, a parking garage, condos and retail stores.

The meeting starts 5:30 P.M. and should go until about 8 in the Grand Wayne Center on W. Jefferson Boulevard.

This comes as construction crews are tearing down properties within the Harrison Square site. Bill's Palace Restaurant off Harrison Street was torn down yesterday. In its place will go the parking garage. The old Belmont Beverage headquarters at Jefferson and Harrison was demolished last week. That site is set for the Marriott Hotel.

Tonight's other big public meeting will focus on full-day kindergarten. The Fort Wayne Community School district is implementing the program at all of its elementary schools this fall and eliminating half-day kindergarten.

Parents preparing to send their children off to kindergarten in a few weeks can voice their concerns to school administrators during a Q&A session that starts at 6:30 P.M. at Snider High School.
