5,000 Teachers Could Lose Jobs Because Of Budget Cuts

INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - According to the Howey Political Report, the Indiana Teachers Association forecasts up to 5,000 teachers or 8 percent of teachers statewide may lose their jobs because of $300 million in budget cuts from the state.

When announcing the funding cuts, the state school superintendent had said districts should be able to reduce spending without layoffs.
