911 Call Alerts Police of 1-year-old's Death, Coroner Rules Accident

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne police were called to the 800-block of Buchanan Street, where a year-old baby was found dead Friday morning.

The Allen County Coroner's Officer performed an autopsy and concluded that the child's death was an accident

A woman called 911 around 5:45 A.M. screaming about her baby.

When officers arrived at the home at 871Buchanan Street, they found a year old baby with no pulse and in rigor mortis.

A three and six-year-old were also in the home at the time.

The mother told police the family went to bed around 9:30 Thursday night, and when she woke up, she found the infant dead.

Sources close to the investigation say the youngest child was found between the mattress and the wall.
