FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne’s Voices of Unity Youth Choir will represent the United States in the Choir Olympics. And Wednesday they're $50,000 closer to their goal.
The event is called the World Choir Games, and Voices of Unity is the only choir from Indiana to have this once in a lifetime chance to travel to China and compete on a world stage.
But to be able to go, the 70 students need to raise $400,000.
Including the pledge from Steel Dynamics, about half of the trip cost still needs to be raised.
