LISLE, Ill. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - It seems hundreds of jobs at Fort Wayne's Navistar truck facility may be safe at least for now.
According to the Chicago-area newspaper the Daily Herald, Navistar officials are backing off plans to consolidate operations in Lisle, Illinois.
Hundreds of Fort Wayne workers would have been transferred there.
A vocal group in the Chicago suburb has been protesting the deal over zoning concerns, something company officials are reportedly "frustrated" about.
