AUBURN, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Auburn business owners are wondering if they'll see a big drop in sales now that Dean Kruse's auction is out. Hotels, restaurants, and other businesses see a bump in sales every Labor Day weekend thanks to the crowds of people buying and selling at the car auction. Auburn's Mayor says it's still too early to tell what kind of effect this will have on the local economy, but he's hopeful another auction company will move in and take the place of Dean Kruse.
There are two other smaller auctions in Auburn that same weekend, and the festival still has plans to continue.
