Ligonier, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Marlin Stutzman fires back in response to the Souder e-mail: "There's nothing hidden. It's all going to be disclosed at the appropriate time".
The e-mail was sent to Republican Party leaders across the state purportedly by former Congressman Mark Souder.
"If this e-mail is from Congressman Souder, I don't understand why he's getting involved to be honest. He really needs to be focusing on his family and keeping his marriage together," said 3rd District Republican Congressional Candidate Marlin Stutzman.
A party insider confirmed that the details of the email match a conversation the insider had with Souder following his resignation.
Within this email Souder alleges that Marlin Stutzman may have not fully disclosed certain campaign finance information relating to Brad Jackson privately flying Stutzman around when he campaigned for Senate.
Jackson is the husband of Tracy Jackson, the woman Souder admittedly had an affair with.
"I'm rather disappointed in it. Whatever concerns he brings up I would be glad answer them, whether it's the deal making or anything like that, that's just not the way I operate," said Stutzman.
The second quarter runs from April 1 to June 30.
According the federal law, the report is not due until mid-July.
Stutzman was forthright in saying he also had a friend from church who flew him around Indiana to campaign for May 4 U.S. Senate primary election.
Stutzman said those donations will also be disclosed in July.
