FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Late Wednesday morning, Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry signed an agreement for city and county offices to share space.

The city and county government will be sharing space at the Renaissance Square building and City-County Building downtown.

With this joint commitment, Mayor Henry believes this will make both governments effective and efficient for the people of Allen County.

Mayor Henry says, “And throughout this process, and by signing this memorandum of understanding, we are firming resoundly, but together we are truly a stronger community."

The planning has already started about how both governments will move, where.

The moving should be complete by the end of next year.
