Portland, Org. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - "Electric" delivery trucks built by Navistar right here in Indiana are being unveiled for the first time.
The E-Star is a first-of-its-kind electric truck billed as a cleaner alternative to diesel.
The new trucks get about 100 miles-per-charge, can carry up to two tons, and produce zero emissions.
So far, four trucks have been sold to Fed Ex to be used in Los Angeles.
While the initial price tag is about $150,000, the vehicle is expected to save money both fuel costs and maintenance.
