FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Now that Navistar leaders have decided not to consolidate its Fort Wayne operations into a Chicago suburb, Mayor Tom Henry wants to rally the community to show the company its support.
Navistar decided last month to drop the consolidation plan, and announced it would look elsewhere.
According to our partner in news, the Journal Gazette, the company would not say whether Fort Wayne is in the running to attract potentially thousands of high-paying jobs.
Mayor Henry wants a community rally at Parkview Field at 11 AM Wednesday morning to show Navistar the community wants to keep the 1,000 company jobs already here.
