Indiana Toll Road Fees To Increase

July 2, 2010 Updated Jul 2, 2010 at 4:36 PM EDT

INDIANA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - It is going to cost you more to travel Indiana's Toll Road.

As of July 1st, the cost for cars to drive the 157-mile road from Illinois to Ohio went from $8 to $8.80.

It's the second rate increase since the state leased the Toll Road to a private company.

Codie Ross, the Democratic candidate for the 51st District State Representative seat says he would have never voted to lease the Toll Road in the first place.

The state's lease with the private company allows tolls to go up every July after next year.
