FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – IPFW's annual "Tapestry: A Day for You" event filled the Memorial Coliseum Friday.
INC was a proud sponsor of the sold out event, and our own Melissa Long took on the role of emcee. The educational and inspirational day of presentations, shopping, group activities, and great food helped raise funds for women's scholarships at IPFW.
Known for her role as Debra on "Everybody Loves Raymond" and now Frankie on ABC's "The Middle," Patricia Heaton was this year's keynote speaker.
Heaton is not only an Emmy Award winning actress, but also a producer, author, wife, and mother of four. Heaton says she was anxious to visit Indiana, because that's where "The Middle" is set.
"I love it when women get together and share their secrets and share their experiences about how they do everything when most all of us are moms and are working and we're trying to do something for our community."
INC’s Megan Trent spoke with Patricia live at noon about the Tapestry event and her thoughts on Hoosier hospitality.
