Assistance Needed To I.D. Suspected Purse Thief

FORT WAYE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Police are asking for assistance in identifying a suspected purse thief.

The victim is an elderly woman who was leaving the parking lot of the Dollar General at 1133 Coliseum on March 11th. She was flagged down by an unknown female who told her that her tire was flat. The elderly woman hopped out of the car to check, when another female allegedly allegedly hopped in the victim's car and stole her purse.

The photo's featured in this story are surveillance from the Wells Fargo Bank on Bluffton Rd. The female in this picture allegedly used the victim's personal and bank information to access her account and steal money.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 436-7867.
