Attempted Sexual Assault On IU Campus

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (21Alive) -- A sexual assault attempt has occurred on IU Bloomington's campus early this morning, according to police.

Early this morning it was announced that investigators are looking for a man who attacked a female student along the railroad tracks on the north side of the Kelley School Of Business parking lot. It reportedly happened around 2:10 a.m. when a man approached the woman with a pocket knife displayed. He started to open his pants but something startled him and ran away, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male between 18 and 21 years old, around 5' 10'' and with a muscular build.
