Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The Three Rivers Festival is battling consistent 90 degree temperatures this year. That means staying cool at the Three Rivers festival is even more important.
"One thing we can not control is the weather, and we knew it would be a warm one again this time," said Jack Hammer, Executive Director.
That's why they've installed a cooling hose on the pathway in Headwaters Park West and they're planning to install another one in Headwaters East.
The cost of water bottles will also stay at $2. Hammer says that is consistent with all vendors at the festival. Along with everything organizers are doing they also ask people to plan accordingly.
"We ask folks to dress appropriate, and also keep well hydrated. There are places to get water, you can bring water with you," said Hammer.
So far one person has been treated at the festival this year for a heat related illness but Jack says paramedics are on hand just in case anything does happen.
